Former GFriend members Sowon and iKON’s Chanwoo will be acting together for the first time. They will be involved in the drama Chilling Roommate.
Various broadcast media have reported that Kim So Jung otherwise known as Sowon and iKON’s maknae Chanwoo will be in charge of a romantic horror series.
It is known, Chilling Roommate is a combination of cinema and drama (cine-rama) which means that it will be produced both as a film and drama.
The series blends horror, romance, and comedy genres, and will depict the story of Jung Se Ri, who has the ability to see ghosts, as she meets Song Ji Chan, a man who finds himself turned into a ghost. After an unexpected meeting they end up living together and will soon develop special feelings for each other.
Idol-turned-actress Sowon takes on the role of Jung Se Ri, a character who is kind and intelligent, despite how cheerful she is, Se Ri still struggles to live because she can see ghosts. This marks Sowon’s debut as an actress.
On the other hand, iKON’s Chanwoo plays the character of Song Ji Chan, a selfish second-generation chaebol who gets entangled in an accident. His personality begins to change when he finally meets Jung Se Ri.
Apart from being a member of the popular K-Pop boy group iKON, he has built up his acting portfolio previously and played various minor roles in dramas such as The Heirs (2013), No Limit (2009), The Slingshot (2009), Boys Over Flowers (2009), and Cain and Abel (2009).
Fans are very happy to see him acting again after a very long time. This time, Chanwoo will already play the main role with other idols.
Chanwoo and Sowon showed their romantic chemistry during the first script reading of “Chilling Roommate.” The players who joined were Lee Yoo Jin, Lee Joong Mun, Kim Ye Ji, Song Young Sook, Park Sang Ho, and Joo Soo Kyung. /celebrities.id
