Webtoon BTS (Bangtan Boys) “7fates: Chakho” has collected an amazing number of views in just two days. Webtoon also received high rankings in several countries, but the rating in South Korea was quite surprising.
On January 18, Hybe revealed the number of cumulative views obtained by Webtoon and Webnovel “7 Fatates: Chakho” on the Webtoon Naver platform. It was announced that the number of views exceeded 15 million views on January 17. Webtoon was officially released on January 15, which meant millions of views only accumulated in just two days.
Hybe said that the initial webtoon and Webnovel BTS index performance was the highest among other works launched. They added that this was the first in the industry launched simultaneously in 10 different languages.
“7 Fatates: Chako” is based on “Chakhogapsa,” which is known as a tiger hunter unit during the Joseon Dynasty. It was interpreted to return to Webtoon and Webnovel, where seven characters based on BTS members turned into hunter.
Because Webtoon is a collaboration project with BTS, this webtoon attracts fans’ attention throughout the world. Evidenced by Army’s enthusiasm before and after Webtoon was released.
Since it was released on January 15, “7 Fatates: Chako” can be read in Naver Webtoon in English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, and Thailand. According to Hybe, Webtoon made a new record for the number of daily active users on the platform.
On the English language service platform Naver Webtoon, Webtoon BTS ranks first at the “New Topics” real-time chart and all genres chart. There were around 740 thousand more subscribers who joined until the previous day following the release of the collaboration story.
Regarding the rating given, “7fates: Chakho” received a low and high score. For high ranking, it got a score of 9.9 out of 10 for the English version and 9.96 for the Spanish version. The French and Thai versions each received ranked 9.81 and 9.94.
Instead, the rating for the Korean version of Webtoon BTS is only 7, this is the lowest rank of stories to date. Surprisingly enough because South Korea is home BTS.
Meanwhile, BTS announced that they would release a soundtrack “7fates: Chakho” entitled “Stay Alive” in February. This song produced by Suga will be delivered by Jungkook. (wk / chus)
