IU’s Best Character in Drama Suddenly Becomes in the Spotlight, Here’s Netizen’s Reaction

South Korean netizens highlight IU’s best character in her three dramas which are quite popular.

On Sunday (23/1), IU suddenly became the talk of the online community site Theqoo. It started when a netizen posted an article titled “Even fans gave mixed responses about the best drama character played by IU”.

The article mentions IU’s roles in three different dramas, namely “The Producers”, “My Mister” and “Hotel del Luna”. Many netizens are confused about choosing the best role for IU among the three dramas.

In “The Producers”, IU played the role of Cindy. He is described as a singer with 10 years of experience. Cindy who has a cold personality slowly changes and opens her heart to Baek Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun).

In the drama “My Mister”, IU plays a girl named Lee Ji An. She was a tough woman who used her entire body to endure the cold reality.

Lee Ji An had thrown away things like dreams, plans and hopes since being abandoned as a child. As he works hard to pay off his debt as soon as possible, he meets Park Dong Hoon (Lee Sun Gyun) and begins to find peace.

While in “Hotel del Luna”, IU plays the role of Jang Man Wol. He is cursed after committing a terrible mistake many years ago, and is trapped in the Hotel del Luna which caters to ghosts.

Two of the three dramas above made great success with the highest ratings reaching 8.17% and 13.87 percent. However, netizens’ opinions were divided when asked to name IU’s best character in her entire acting career.

“I prefer Jang Man Wol,” said a netizen. “I’m an AKGAE Cindy,” said another netizen. “I think I like all the characters,” said another netizen.

Meanwhile, IU will be starring in a new film titled “Broker”. In this film he will compete acting with a number of well-known actors, including Song Kang Ho, Kang Dong Won to Bae Doona. (wk/eval)
