A flood of criticism, Aespa is the only one who sings lipsync at the Korea University Festival

Aespa suddenly reaped oblique comments from Knetz for being the only singer who appeared lip-syncing when enlivening the Spring Festival at Korea University.

Currently, the South Korean government is known to have relaxed some regulations in the corona virus pandemic. One of them is allowing concerts with fans to interact. Previously, K-Pop concerts were known to be quiet because fans were not allowed to shout or sing along.

More and more concerts are being held in South Korea at this time. Recently, several campuses have been busy inviting singers to idol groups to perform at campus festivals.

aespa became one of the people who enlivened the spring festival at Korea University recently. aespa performed their 4 songs namely “Black Mamba”, “Next Level”, “Savage”, and “Dreams Come True”.

Unfortunately, the appearance of aespa at the Korea University festival actually reaped many oblique comments. The reason is, many Knetz who came to see the festival mentioned that Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning did not sing live or lipsync.

This of course makes aespa directly compared to other singers who fill the Korea University festival. For example, Red Velvet is known to bring their songs live. Knetz then mentioned that Korea University should invite another group.

“What’s the point of lip-syncing at a university festival? It’s disrespectful to the audience,” said one Knetz. “Are they just a very expensive dance team??” say another. “It doesn’t make sense because they seem so talented. Why does SM like lip-sync so much?” other words. “Lip sync at the festival really kills the whole atmosphere,” another exclaimed. “Compared to other groups, their performance is not too difficult apart from ‘Black Mamba’,” explained another.

“Besides, they don’t sing live, they don’t have facial expressions, and the songs aren’t completely festival nuanced, so it’s very boring,” said another. “Red Velvet sings live, and they’re really good. Why doesn’t SM give aespa a chance?” another said. “The fact that AKMU came in right after them didn’t benefit them. AKMU’s performance was perfect, and their stage manners were amazing.
