As a lawyer, Seo Hyun Jin is determined to show a different side through ‘Why Her’

While attending the ‘Why Her’ Press Conference on Tuesday (31/5), Seo Hyun Jin talked about various interesting things about his role in this drama. Here’s the full story.

On Tuesday (31/5), SBS held a press conference for its new drama entitled “Why Her”. The event was attended by the director and the main cast including the beautiful actress Seo Hyun Jin.

“Why Her” is a mystery romance drama that focuses on Oh Soo Jae (Seo Hyun Jin), a cold-hearted lawyer who becomes empty after only pursuing success. On the other hand, there is a law student named Gong Chan (Hwang In Yeop), who will do anything to protect him.

In particular, Oh Soo Jae is portrayed as someone who becomes more cynical after overcoming his regrets. He was the youngest partner in the leading Kindergarten Law Firm and an expert that many recognized.

During the press conference, Seo Hyun Jin expressed his admiration for the plot. He said, “No one can be nice all the time. I believe that people change depending on the environment.”

He continued, “After making certain choices, Oh Soo Jae’s boundaries between good and evil became unclear. I thought it would be nice to have a character like him lead a drama.”

Seo Hyun Jin then expressed his interest in a strong character like his role in this drama. He explained, “I wanted to do something different. I wanted to have a different tone. There were a lot of good seniors, so I got a lot of help.”

Regarding the role of his first lawyer, Seo Hyun Jin explained, “I wanted to see the trial in real because it was time to practice social distancing. But I could only watch the video. Fortunately, there was a lawyer at our law firm, so I asked him.”

Finally, Seo Hyun Jin revealed the interesting points of “Why Her” that viewers should anticipate. He said, “‘Why Her’ is everyone’s story. Isn’t she the main character in her life? That’s also a question this woman asks herself. I hope viewers will look back on her life and the choices she made.”

“I learned a lot while starring in this drama. The biggest thing I got was ‘collaboration’. In essence, watching our drama is the first scene. After watching it, you will watch the next trailer,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, “Why Her” is prepared to replace the broadcast slot for “Again My Life” on SBS Friday – Saturday night. The plan, the drama, which also stars Bae In Hyuk, will start airing on June 3. (wk/eval)
