SEVENTEEN’s newest song Hot on the album Face The Sun topped iTunes charts worldwide.
As reported by Soompi, Saturday (28/5/2022), SEVENTEEN comeback with their fourth album Face the Sun and the song titled Hot on May 27.
According to Hanteo Chart, Face the Sun sold an impressive total of 1,758,565 copies. On the first day of sales alone, it nearly doubled SEVENTEEN’s previous first-day sales record of 881,788 copies set by their 2021 mini album Your Choice.
SEVENTEEN not only managed to break their own first week sales record of 1,364,127 copies in one day, but they also became the second artist in Hanteo’s history to sell more than one million copies of an album in the first day of its release. The only other artist to achieve the feat to date is BTS.
In addition, Face the Sun has achieved the third-highest first-day sales of any album in Hanteo’s history and is only surpassed by BTS’ 2020 albums Map of the Soul: 7 and BE.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN’s new song Hot soared to number one on Bugs Korea’s realtime chart as well as Japan’s Line Music and AWA shortly after its release. The song also topped iTunes charts in various countries around the world.
As of May 28, Hot song has reached number 1 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in at least 26 different regions around the world, including Mexico and Singapore. Face the Sun also reached number 1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in at least 22 different territories, including Brazil and the Philippines. /celebrities.id
