BTS Ready to Hold Global Concert as Ambassadors for Busan World Expo 2030

BTS Will Not Only Be Ambassadors, But Also Participate In Negotiations With The 170 Countries That Form The Bureau International Des Expositions, Which Votes For The Host Country.

Good news comes from BTS (Bangtan Boys) who recently announced that they will be on hiatus as a group. The group will hold a global concert in conjunction with their appointment as ambassadors for the 2030 Busan World Expo.

The Busan Metropolitan Government and HYBE signed a memorandum of understanding regarding Busan World Expo 2030 earlier today, June 24 KST. Busan Mayor Park Hyeong Jun, Bang Si Hyuk, and HYBE CEO Park Ji Won attended the ceremony.

Under the agreement, BTS will not only be goodwill ambassadors for the event, but also participate in negotiations with the 170 countries that make up the Bureau International des Expositions, which votes for the host country.

The plan is that BTS will be ambassadors during the Bureau International des Expositions committee visit to South Korea and maybe even visit Paris, France on polling day to request support from the committee to choose Busan to host the 2030 World Expo. They will also launch online promotional activities via video. and photo shoots that will be distributed via social media.

In addition, BTS will also hold a global concert from Busan to support the reason for Busan to host the 2030 World Expo event, hoping to attract the attention of voters. The exact date for the concert has not yet been decided. Finally, Busan and HYBE agreed to cooperate in the development of pop culture and cultural infrastructure in Busan.
