K-pop girl group 2NE1’s recent reunion performance at Coachella nearly got cancelled, according to Sandara Park. This was revealed by the 1984-born singer through his new vlog which was shared recently.

On May 27, Dara Park shared a new video titled “I Love My Dubai EP.2” on her YouTube channel. As the title suggests, the video follows Dara’s journey to Dubai. In the video, he talks about 2NE1’s iconic reunion stage at the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” last month.

One of the oldest 2NE1 members said, “There are so many offers for a 2NE1 reunion from a big event. We really wanted it, but since we are now all from different agencies, it wasn’t easy.”

Dara also shared that the members thought that it was not the “right moment” for them to get back together. Dara revealed that 2NE1’s reunion at Coachella had been discussed since earlier this year, and that the members were thinking of canceling their performance at some point.

The “Come Back Home” hitmaker said, “Even two weeks before we headed to the US, we were like, ‘Are we really doing it?’, ‘Should we cancel it?’ We’ve already talked about canceling it.”

Dara explained, “We thought about canceling it because we didn’t have much time and we had to keep it a secret. We didn’t even have the right instrumental song for our stage.”

The singer revealed that he did not expect the audience to know them, as the stage took place in the US after a long time. He said, “I didn’t expect people to recognize us. But when we got on stage, the crowd cheered, and they sang together to ‘I AM THE BEST’. They knew exactly who we were, and they knew our song. normal.” (wk/goddess)
