Aespa 4 Times Breaks Records Throughout K-Pop History, PO Latest 'Girls' Album

Aespa Once Again Shows Their Stunning Achievement Despite Just Debuting Less Than 2 Years, Now Carving Their 4th Record In K-Pop History. Now Because ‘Girls’ Comeback Album.

July 8, SM Entertainment made an announcement that was quite surprising and made Aespa fans proud. aespa managed to get a pre-order or PO for their newest album, “Girls” reaching 1,610,517 copies.

The PO of the album “Girls” which reached more than 1.6 million copies as of July 7 means that AESPA has broken the record. aespa became a female K-Pop idol group in history that reached the PO number for this album of 1.6 million copies.

This achievement is certainly very impressive considering that the new aespa officially debuted in November 2020. This means that aespa has shown their popularity in just less than 2 years.

Sales of aespa’s second mini album will certainly increase over time. Album sales after PO usually also increase drastically.

Thanks to the record for the album “Girls”, aespa means that they have made K-Pop history 4 times. The youngest idol group under SM Entertainment is known to have made history since their debut song.

The music video for “Black Mamba” became the K-Pop debut song with the most viewers in just 24 hours. Furthermore, “Next Level” managed to get 3 daesang or major awards at once which means being the first 4th generation idol to get this achievement.

The last record before the album “Girls” was obtained by “Savage”. aespa became the first 4th generation idol to achieve the Perfect All Kill classification on the song. Perfect All Kill is known to only get a song if it manages to occupy position 1 in a series of music sites for 1 full week.

Meanwhile, the album “Girls” itself will be released today at 1 pm KST. This album contains 6 new songs aespa. The album contains the previously released “Girls”, “Illusion”, “Lingo”, “Life’s Too Short”, “ICU”, and the previously released English version of “Life’s Too Short”. (wk/alpha)
