Chaewon Proves APRIL Never Bullied Hyunjoo Through Court Decision

Chaewon Shared Court Decision Regarding APRIL’s Past Bullying Case, That Problems That Occurred In The Group Are Difficult To Assess As Bullying.

Ex-APRIL’s Chaewon personally revealed the results of the investigation into the bullying case, which involved Hyunjoo as a victim. Previously he sued Hyunjoo for defamation.

On July 7, 2022, Chaewon uploaded a post entitled, “Hello, this is Kim Chaewon” on his community YouTube channel. He then revealed part of the court’s decision on the subject of bullying.

“I want to tell the fans who have been waiting for me through difficult times from the results of the investigation (about the member bullying case). The final result was decided as non-transfer.”

According to Chaewon, the court ruled that in cases of bullying within APRIL in the past, there were problems related to relationships within the group, but that is difficult to judge as bullying. In other words, APRIL members never bullied Hyunjoo.

Chaewon then discussed the isolation between the members. “Although the relevant witnesses stated that this is not true, given that there may be differences depending on their subjective position in their point of view on the case, it is difficult to determine whether the matter is true or false,” he said.

Lastly, Chaewon also discussed the alleged members dating their manager. “Both parties deny it. The two managers who were named as suspects stated that the case was not true at all. This matter was established as false facts,” he wrote.

Chaewon added, “I will take legal action. I will greet you with various activities and good music from now on because there are no lies in my position and I feel proud without shame.”

Previously in February 2021, it was revealed that Hyunjoo ex-APRIL made extreme efforts after being bullied while being part of the girl group made by DSP Entertainment.

The agency issued an official position denying Hyunjoo’s disclosure. However, after the controversy arose, several members, including Lee Naeun, quit advertisements and dramas and stopped all activities.

Then on January 28, 2022, DSP Media announced the disbandment of APRIL through their official website. According to the agency’s statement, the group disbanded after much deliberation and discussion. (wk/chus)
