WATCH: Lamborghini Convoy Drives & Overtakes Recklessly At Johor Expressway
Just recently, Malaysia has been named the 3rd most likely country where one would most likely die on the road.
However, it does not seem that some road users care at all and during the weekend, a Lamborghini convoy was caught on camera driving recklessly.
The 70-ish seconds video was uploaded on social media and soon went viral on different platforms. In that video, you can see that they were driving in the middle of the road even when there were solid double white lines there.
The convoy was driving in the middle of the road as they wanted to overtake other cars in a very tight space. This act caused cars in the opposing lane to use the emergency lane as the convoy was hogging their side of the road.
Their dangerous overtaking had also caused the car behind them to jam the brake a few times to avoid causing an accident.
According to a statement by the Kota Tinggi district police, the convoy was driving along the Senai-Desaru Expressway, heading in the direction of Bandar Penawar.
On 29 July, the police found the convoy and were able to ascertain the drivers’ identity. The case will be investigated under Section 42 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. If found guilty, they will be given a maximum sentence of five years and a fine of between RM5,000 to RM15,000.
It’s always better to be safe than sorry when on the road.
