IU Resigns from Drakor Money Game, Cancels Playing with Ryu Jun Yeol

IU some time ago was confirmed to be starring in the same Korean drama as Ryu Jun Yeol titled Money Game. But now, the idol and actress has canceled her involvement.

The news was conveyed by Studio N. They said IU decided to withdraw from the Korean drama Money Game because of the shooting schedule that collided with other activities.

Previously, IU was confirmed to be starring in the drama Money Game with Ryu Jun Yeol. This drama will also star other top actors such as Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, Lee Joo Young, to Moon Jung Hee.

Studio N also announced the actress who will replace the position left by IU. Chun Woo Hee has officially joined the production of Money Game as a replacement for IU.

Meanwhile, Money Game is a Korean drama adapted from Bae Jin Soo’s webtoon, Money Game and Pie Game. This Korean drama will focus on a high-stakes game involving eight participants.

They will be placed in extreme circumstances after being ostracized from other societies. Contestants try to collect and save as much money as possible before the game ends, which is what happens when someone dies.

Until now, it is still unclear when exactly Money Game will be broadcast.
